Even if they were nomad or sedentary the Roma were practicing a certain job which was inherited from their predecessors. Therefore they were taught that men have to have a family and a job to support their families, because they were uneducated the jobs were learned from their parents/relatives, nevertheless the Roma were the best craftsmen on the jobs that they were practicing, having no competition from any other ethnicity or from Romanians. Hence the Roma were very good horseshoe makers being compulsory for every village where the people could not work in agriculture without their animals; likewise the spoon makers were very skilled on manufacturing from wood different tools for kitchen/house (chairs, kitchen cutlery, dishes). The Roma love flowers and nature, for that reason they were very happy florists selling flowers to all those which were appreciating the flowers splendour; they were also very well skilled jewellers creating gorgeous silver/gold accessories.
Tinsmiths are Roma with a very good expertise on processing copper and producing kettles, cauldrons, all the Romanian are producing natural fruits brandy with tools made by the Roma tinsmiths.
Nowadays the technology has substituted most of the craftsmen products therefore their businesses are much lower, the products being sold like art vestiges.
